“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” – Albert Einstein

In the consulting and coaching worlds, this is probably the greatest constraint I face when guiding people from where they are to where they want to go. My observation is that when push comes to shove, the determination and focus to create change and to alter in order to create Serious Shift eludes most. It is not a criticism or negative comment, it is just the observed truth.

So here is how you can ensure that Albert’s words don’t haunt you. If you want to create Serious Shift for yourself and your business, be clear on where you want to go and be absolutely sure of the real constraints or obstacles that are preventing you from moving forward. The best strategy is to tackle small Shift points and change your behavior or habits and move on to the next. Before long you will have created a pattern of change that will roll up to some Serious Shift.

Get off the treadmill. It can be exhausting and accomplishes very little. Create some Serious Shift and buckle up for the ride.
