“The full use of your powers along lines of excellence” – definition of “Happiness” by John F. Kennedy (1917-1963)
May 29th was the 100th anniversary of the birth of JFK so I thought it was appropriate to use a quote from him this week.
A business owner has the choice every day to use his or her powers along the lines of excellence. What I like about this quote is that excellence becomes a choice and a deliberate effort.
We all wake up every day with great intentions, but sometimes the day just gets in our way. Sometimes it is us choosing things that distract us from more important tasks, and other times it is just ‘one of those days’. Imagine, though, if you made days like this the exception and not the rule. What if you made yourself 10% better than your peers at using your power to pursue excellence? The results would be amazing.
Take a moment to reflect and consider one opportunity to get better at pursuing excellence. Become a master at that for the rest of 2017. This traction point will create some Serious Shift for you. You can go to the bank with that. Give it a try. The Serious Shift awaits.
May the Shift be with you and continued success, TF.
