Blogcast 18: Experience vs. Transformation

The Experience Economy is evolving. It is all about guided transformations, my friends. The questions to be asking yourself are: How do I want my customers to feel? And who do I want to help my customers become? Let me tell you how that might be done.

Check out the video below:

So to summarize:

  • The Experience Economy segues into the Transformation Economy when the experience changes the customer’s perspective, understanding or world view. The experience isn’t just memorable, it’s life changing.
  • When you want to improve your customer experience, ask this question: “How do I want my customers to feel?” When you want to guide transformations, ask this question: “Who do I want to help my customers become?”
  • If you want to guide a transformation, figure out who you want your client to become, and then start a conversation.

This Canadian guy has made me see the light!

I believe what you mean to say is “This Canadian guy has made me see the light, eh!” DMW

Dinner the 10th with you and your fella could be a plan. DMW

What a gift Dennis! Your blog is special. As advisors we help our clients thrive. To do that well it takes understanding of our unique gifts and how we can use them to create the maximum client experience. No disrespect for knowledge and wisdom but they are part of basic training. If we are lucky we lead them to the transformation you speak about. You Dennis are an amazing coach. Thank you

Thank you Larry – Picasso said the meaning of life is to find your gift, but the purpose of your life is to give it away. I’m not sure how this became my gift, but I am happy to give it away to the people who have been waiting to hear it. DMW
