Wherever You Are. Be There

“I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me no control of the moment following.” –Mahatma Ghandi

This is a big idea with even bigger consequences.

I am writing this sitting in the airport. Whenever I think of making better use of my time/mind – of doing a better job of being present I think of my kids, and riding bikes. I think about the last weekend and spending time with Ella. Then I think of putting them to bed and how sometimes I can’t wait for the chore to be over so I can be done parenting for the day.

You never get these moments back. Why rush? What are you missing.

Don’t rush your clients. Don’t dread meetings. Be grateful that someone wants to talk to you, and someone is looking forward to hearing what you have to say.

Be present.
